Coast Guard Swim Test?
I understand that I have to jump off of a platform and swim 100 meters. I’m from FL. grown up swimming in pools and in the ocean…but not a correct way of swimming. Not a specific type of swim stroke. Does it matter how I swim it? can i swim under water? Is there a time limit? I’m a female that’s about to go through regular basic training (boot camp) for the USCG….
You have to swim 100 meters, and then tread water for five minutes. We don’t care if you do the backstroke, breaststroke or the heat stroke… we just want you to make it the entire 100 meters. The only time limit is for treading water.
