The chef’s uniform consists of various pieces of clothes. The chefs toque or hat is required to indicate the rank or the position of the chef. This is denoted by the height of the hat itself. One more attention-grabbing feature of the chef’s toque is the number of folds or pleats it has. Some of the chefs have modified their uniforms by adding up different colors and patterns or alterations in design. Conventionally, however, the chefs coats are white in color and patterns are broadly used and accepted all over the world.

The buttons on the coat were usually made out of knotted material. This caused the buttons to be more strong and capacity of surviving several rinsing cycles. This would also serve up to avoid plastic buttons from thawing or damaging due to the heat. The checked trousers are helpful in hiding small stains as they are capable of hiding minor stains. As with the coats, the trousers are also made to resist flame and heat. It is essential to pay money for chef shirts that have a great fit and are of the proper size. Since a number restaurants and hotels are always in the need of a ready supply of chef shirts, in the long run they would probably make purchases on wholesale. For this cause the majority of such institutes work on smallest order purchases and the organization is capable of getting inexpensive chef shirts from their supplier.
